I‘ve learned a lot this year… A Poem
I learned that things don’t always turn out the way you planned or the way you think they should. But to win, never stop planning and taking action. I read from somewhere that optimistic people thrive while pessimistic people strive.
I learned that there are things that go wrong that don’t get fixed or get put back together the way they were before. So, I concluded not to hold onto things so tightly that they hurt and even tend to break you. I read somewhere that when things are simple, do not try to complicate them, and when they are complicated, do not try to simplify them.
I learned that some broken things stay broken. And I’ve learned that you can get through bad times and keep looking for better ones as long as you have people who love you and your God (whatever you conceive him to be) by your side. In late Hans Rosling’s wise saying, “Things can be bad and getting better.”
I learned that there is a crack in everything. I learned that is how the light gets in. I learned to forgive myself for my mistakes - To love myself still when I sometimes make poor choices. To lead myself to the right path and come back to my purpose when I lose my way.
I learned that the future is not always what it used to be. I learned that the young can be wise and the old can be adventurous. I learned that expectations are good and keep the heart warm and delighted - but to not just have high or too demanding expectations.
Finally, I learned that in the face of despair, even the smallest ray of hope has unlimited possibilities. I learned to strive always to keep myself happy and always to find reasons to celebrate.
Many thanks for reading my perspective and giving feedback.
I wish you, my friend, A Very Happy and Prosperous New Year, 2024!!!
My fervent wish is for everyone's personal growth and the success of all young professionals who put their hearts and souls into finding their purpose in life.
